Five roses, a mimosa and an olive tree. There's another big pot with a rose on the steps to the other side of the olive tree.

A climbing rose, an orange and a lemon tree, two Loropetalum chinensis black pearl and a pot ready for a bougainvillea on order.

Five oleanders and a climbing rose in the corner.

The plants are OK Mr zen, it's the patio which is getting "pot bound!"

I've told my wife; "No more!"

We went out to a local garden centre for lunch today and came back with two small acers, that had "fallen into her trolley."
She'd found another "gap" at the head of the waterfall and another in front of the grasses in the bed at the bottom of the garden, a space I'd earmarked for some dahlias next year.

I can't complain otherwise I'd get the; "How much do saxophones, jukeboxes and records cost and how much do you spend on golf club membership?"

    You can't win, can you?

Doghouse - if you can't go sideways you will have to go upwards.

Plants in pots always seem like a very good idea to me until we get a spell of hot weather and they need watering every five minutes.

Ah! But that's why they've all got pot movers or trays. The pot movers and trays hold water so on hot days I water them only once a day, as the trays and the pot movers retain the water that runs through the pots, so they don't dry out.

I'm planing to move in a year or two so all the new plants I buy will be in pots so they can come with us when we move.

Looks like there's plenty of room on the fence supports for wall mounted pots to me!

Thanks for that, but we came to an agreement over such things years ago. They need too much attention, anyway there's no room between the dwarf azaleas to get at the posts.

Hanging baskets suspended from the pergola I "banned" too because of the necessity for constant watering on hot days and because when working in the garden wearing a golf hat, I'd occasionally bang my head on one because I couldn't see it!

Yes, I forget about that as well.

Each year I swear I will keep the amount of pots on the patio to a bare minimum. Each year they seem to multiple!
