Solved Wondering what this bush/tree is with white flowers ...

    My friend has this bush/tree covered with white flowers - does anyone know what it is?

    The flowers look like Romneya coulteri but the foliage isn't right :scratch:

            Yes, Mrs Google is right, it is Carpenteria californica, mine is flowering right now. They are slightly tender bushes although I don't wrap it in fleece during the winter any more.

            On our NGS Open Days, it was the most talked about plant we'd got and you don't see it very often.
