    Hi All,
You came to my rescue last week by naming a plant for me, well here's another I CANNOT find in any of my gardening books! A friend gave me this at the start of the year. She said it grows fairly large - this one is 60cm wide by 80cm tall and rather lovely! She said just pull one of the branches up and put it in the ground and it grows! Sounds a bit far-fetched to me.

She also doesn't know the name of it!

    Many thanks,

    Hello SpringsHere.

It reminds me of the minature Agapanthus ... and don't I wish I had bought one of those when I saw it in B&Q a couple of years ago! But I digress ...

As there are many leaves around your flowers, I can't tell what's what, although it looks like a Canna in the foregound. Perhaps you could point out the leaves?

A guess .... and only a guess, is Amsonia tabernaemontana, a rather uncommon plant known as the Blue Star .... but it has pointy leaves.

I shall be interested to see what it is.

Yes, they are Cannas just in front in the first image Lady of Leisure, damned things far too late this year. Still getting new buds now, just in time for the first frosts probably...

Many thanks Moira and Ivory! I think you're really on the right track, Moira, but googling your suggestion, and the leaves seem more pointed on the images it finds. Ivory, I don't think it can be your suggestion - those flowers are white and mine are a very strong blue. But I think we're getting there!!

Thanks all Sooo much! I think Garden Master has just about whittled it down to the correct plant.

Mine's not died down as yet, but a few of the leaves look a bit ropey.

    xx
