I know I shall take a hit for daring to suggest that Christmas is just around the corner.
    How do I know?
I had to check the last posting times for surface mail to Thailand.
    6th October.... not far away.
Ok, so, if you have friends and relatives away from home and feel the need to post for christmas. it is time to think about it.

Hi Robert I put up a post on here some time ago when we saw the first of the garden centres starting to put up xmas displays but I think it got lost somewhere:wink: Last week while we were away on holiday there was even more xmas activity at the garden centres plus the Haloween stuff had been put outs00kthough that does come first.Never noticed any fireworks though:euw:

I have already done my xmas list and have so far bought one xmas prezzie so have made a start:D:thmb:

There is Christmas stuff in most shops.
I think a lot of people will have to think twice about their spending this year.
I no my daughter with her 3 small children is having to cut back a lot.
We are getting them one toy and the rest in clothes.
Luckily they do like nice clothes so it's not so bad.
We are also going to suggest no adult presents this year.
We will probably just go out for a nice meal together.
    Everything is just so expensive.
    And what to buy
I used to love Christmas when our children were little but now I find it a time of stress and worry. :(
