We've been quite busy over the last few weekends thanks to the sun being out. We've built 2 raised borders, built a decking area for our swing seat (that Dorset Mike gave us) and dug a pond :). Here are some pics:

hey lmrr, what did you use for the raised borders in pic 2, are they just railway sleepers?

That is really good, looks like you have very tough ground there - digging out that pond must have been hard work :)

Yeah it's just railway sleepers with painted decking boards on the top. The back and the side are gravel board to keep the costs down.

Thanks everyone and JWK it wasn't too bad digging the pond, the ground wasn't as hard as it looks and my hubby did dig a bit of it lol :).

The pond liner arrived today :thumb: so I might go and see if I can fit it myself although it is a bit heavy :)

Damn I knew I'd forgotten something :dh:

    Here are today's updates:

Thursday I gave the decking one coat of oil and hopefully get another on today :) Don't have a pic of that yet.

Yesterday we fought :D with the sand, underlay and pond liner to get the pond done :). At least the water was warm as it came out of the water butt and had been sitting in the sun all day cause I had to paddle in it

Here's me playing in my new sandpit:

Gotta admit I really enjoyed it sad I know :lollol:

    All fleeced up:

Here's me waiting for the water to fill up:

This is where I left it as I'd had enough:

Whichever animal moves into that lakeside cabin will be in clover for the rest of it`s life.

    I wish I could shrink!

No its just a wildlife pond. I'm not going to put anything in apart from a few plants. I'm hoping things will move in by themselves although I might steal a bit of frogspawn out of my friends pond next year :D
