Thanks @infradig , summer has finally arrived here in the South East, it's given everything a boost that's for sure.

I am still miles behind this year. Permanent crops like Asparagus and the fruit have been OK, but apart from salads, I'm getting very little. Lots to come . I got some lovely peas from a plot neighbour n exchange for some strawberries, so it's not all bad.

The recent warmth has certainly given a boost to the harvesting season IMG_20240626_102459~2.jpg

Lovely crops @Scroggin . That's a good lot of blueberries - how many plants do you have?

Thankyou @CarolineL , I've got three bushes, 2 are over 10 yrs old, bought for £2 each from Lidl. All in pots in ericaceous compost.

The Calabrese have enjoyed the cooler , wet weather this year. First courgettes, about 2-3 weeks later than normal. Climbing french beans starting to crop now as well. IMG_20240720_110615.jpg

Yes at long last, the crops are beginning to come more regularly. Mondays rain, and now a couple of warm sunny days and warm nights have made a huge difference.

An admirable example of the right shade of green.

After a long weekend away, plus other days out, got to plots to water last night and went again this morning. We are now swamped with French and Runner beans, courgettes have finally woken up, and the greenhouse tomatoes are in full flow. I cut two very small heads of broccoli, one of which was about to go to flower.
Managed to get the mower round the paths at last. The weeds are rampant, they will have to wait, if the forecast storm comes the weeds will be easier to pull then. IMG-20240725-WA0004.jpg 20240725_123515.jpg

This season is a couple of weeks later than normal, but the weather lately has been kind and crops are in full flow now( except those eaten by slugs/snails ). IMG_20240802_110512.jpg
