No, next week is the first "proper" show @Liriodendron.

It starts at 7pm and goes on until 9.25pm. I don't know if that's enough time for all 15 couples to dance ?
There's no results show on the Sunday as far as I can see.

    Here you go @shiney

Yes Strictly reminds me of the darker nights pulling in, but it always brings sunshine to my life. There is seldom anything throughout the year on prime time Saturday night television that I consider worth viewing, however SCD is my MUST watch. Yes, it ties in with my passion for dancing, I've been doing Modern Jive for 18 years, plus a bit of Salsa too, but I just love the whole format.

Of course, I was a huge fan of "Brucie" and Len Goodman who used to make the show what it was, but you can't knock those involved with it now. I've even been lucky to see the live show twice - once at Wembley Arena when they did a fantastic Remembrance day tribute, and also at Elstree. Great memories.

Just a reminder that Strictly starts tonight at 7pm .

All 15 couples are dancing, but there won't be a public vote until next week.

Thoroughly enjoyed last night's SCD. These celebs seem a really nice bunch of people and the atmosphere was very friendly. Roll on next week now!

I have been looking at the comments on another forum, and the general consensus seems to be that after a tumultuous few months, it's back with a bang and a good "vibe".

I recorded it and fast forwarded to the dances and judge's comments so I will probably watch some of them again this afternoon.
To attempt to choreograph and dance an American Smooth to "Vindaloo" deserves a second viewing, as does Chris McCausland. I thought that was so clever, I completely forgot he is blind, which is as it should be.

I will say that I wish Motsi and Shirley would stop interrupting Craig.

Just in case anyone wasn't aware "It is week one you know".

We recorded it too @AnniD and watched it after dinner. Unfortunatley there was electrical (storm) interference so it lost the signal during the Viennese waltz and Chris's dance. I'll have to look on Youtube.

I didn't bother to watch that first Paso as the music was execrable. There are so many goot Paso tunes and even more recent hits performed as recognisable Pasos for dance clubs that I don't undertsand the insistence on aggressive heavy metal type cr*p.

I thought Toyah was badly undermarked and others overmarked but, on the whole, some very promising performances and a few surprises.

That’s quite early so I will do a curry tray bake as we have a ‘lap’ dinner with Strictly.

I must set up my bbc app thingy to vote.

I'm making lamb pasanda with aromatic fried rice, spiced cabbage and lentil chapatis but I'm not letting my pair eat curry on their laps @AuntyRach. Just asking for trouble!

Yum @AuntyRach I haven't had prawn toasts in decades @AuntyRach . Not found in Belgium or France altho I confess I know better than to try ethnic restaurants in France.

My lentil chapatis have become a dal - more fragrant and didn't need the carbs with the rice.
