I grew some Rhubard from seed in a massive drum, it has come up beautifully, but definitly not ready for this year, so what would I do with it now, do I just leave it or take dead leaves of as they appear, or cut down to roots, and shall I cover it over winter? Thankyou. Chrissy.

Just take off the dead leaves.
Let the frost get at the roots, if you want early sticks cover them with a large pot turned upside down around February time to force them.

I had rhubard growing in my old garden (it was fairly sheltered), it was basically used and neglected and every year it came back bigger!!

Thankyou for both comments. I will take leaves of as they die and leave, and will have bigger and better next year. :-)
