I have a yucca tree at home and it is now too big for the room as it is touching the ceiling!! are these valuable and what sort of price should i be looking for if sold. it is very healthy lookign and has two trunks if that makes a difference. What are my options? any advice would be greatly appreciated. cheers

It's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it tbh.

Picture, variety, age would all be helpful:)

I tend to think that its not really worth much tcmesq, they are quite common and large ones are freely avalable.
Its probably worth more to you than it would be to someone else.

But I hope you find a good home for it.

I bought one like that on ebay for a tenner. If its too big for your house it will be too big for most peoples.

Mine was stuck in the garden in a sheltered spot and is still growing 3 years on.

You can always cut it and make it shorter. You will have twice as many plants, and of the right heigt. There is a recent thread about this somewhere, I will try to find it.

cheers guys thanks a lot for all your responses...it is much appreciated. think i am going to try and cut it down into smaller mini yodas (i named it yoda, sad i know haha). and see how that works...or i might plant it in the garden if i can find a sheltered enough spot.

will try and add a photo just so you can see what the fuss is about.

I would leave it a while longer yet. There is still some space before it hits the ceiling. Then maybe trim of of the taller branches first, let that respout and then the second shorter (of the tall ones) the following year. Its a good looking plant, I wouldnt be in a rush to chop it up. :)
