    Hi Folks.
Just wondering if there is any one else out there who has come across this nasty disease. I'm at the moment trying to tackle it on a large scale. What I'm trying to find out is, does it recover and if not can you plant box back in on the same ground?

Sorry - tough to beat. However,

there have not been many recorded cases of blight actually killing box - it probably could but generally it defoliates, weakens the plant and other things finish it off.... It also overwinters in fallen leaves, so cleaning them up and burning them will help. Here is a link to a good note on symptoms (there are two sorts) and what to do about blight in your box hedging. Hope it helps

    Thank you guys.
Both very useful links. Its appears to be very contagous. What I can't or should i say have difficulty understanding is how it has got into the garden in the first place. The garden is way out in the middle of nowhere, and it isn't open to the public. We have had some recent new stock. However these were selected from a very reputable source and were bought over a month ago. They were also planted away from the infected area. Sadly:( I have noticed it starting to appear in other areas of the garden. Again thank you for your help in sourcing info.
    Cheers Weedy
