    Was sad to hear of this much liked mans passing today. I first started watching the Beechgrove back in the days of the Aberdeen garden when I was a lttle boy.

    He presented this programme for 41 years, what a great guy.

    RIP Jim McColl.

      Sad news indeed. If I have learned anything about gardening ever since I started watching Beechgrove decades ago it would be Jim’s comment “every day’s a school day”.
