Paypal Swaps your Data for Adverts - CA Article

    Hi,

    An interesting article in the current Computer Active magazine* about PayPals recent Policy Updates to UK user accounts.

    What has happened is that they have now turned On all our marketing preferences so they are available to all its "merchants" as from the 10th of this month.

    The CA article does show how to turn off these preferences by going into your Paypal account and locating the two items under the Data & Privacy / Interest Based Marketing section as in the screenshots below.

    The articles author does say that he is questioning if he should continue to use PayPal
    or look for alternatives who take privacy more seriously.

    * just £3.20 in most big supermarkets.
