Pond cleaning and timing etc

You're brave, WeeTam! I won't be donning the pink waders until the water warms up next spring

 

I have a single Golden Orfe in my small pond.
I bought it as a Golden Tench but a 2" orfe looks remarkably like a 2" tench!!
It was not until the following year that I realised the mistake as the orfe got big quickly.
It seems happy even though they are supposed to like open water and live in shoals.
Currently measures about 10" long.
