What's Looking Good October 2024

So much of my garden is now looking untidy but there’s something about a bit of Autumn sunshine that just lifts it all up!

The way Cotinus leaves fade in autumn always adds a bit of cheer!



Fading Hydrangea has something to add too.

 

Hi, everyone. Still waiting to move into the new house. It’s also been an incredibly busy time in school (including Ofsted!), so I didn’t get much time to enjoy gardening and photography. Here are some recent photos from the current garden - a bit neglected this year, I’m afraid.

Lovely cotoneaster, @RoddersUK - would love that in my garden as an autumn star! May I ask which variety of cultivar you have there, please?

 

While standing in the garden, I spotted something orange. Maybe the Geum Tangerine Orange believes its Spring time
The leaves of the Acer start now to turn colour. Everything else remains as it was, Scabiosa and Cosmos are still flowering.

Not a lot but a few Echiums coming on, may not flower next year.


The fruit is forming on the Butia.


Tetrapanax are flowering.


Washingtonia and Chamaerops.
