    Dull, dull, dull.
Never mind fifty shades of grey, I'm beginning to think it'll be fifty days of grey :cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy::cloudy:

Grey is very much the predominant sky colour in this part of the country, so we're used to it!
Could do with more frosts though, so that we have some brighter days. However, the fact that it's only smirry and damp, rather than chucking it down and blowing a hoolie, is always a bonus

9c and mostly cloudy for the day. Just about see the outline of the mountain opposite and the Lasgarn wood. Just 15 more tulip bulbs to pot up, will be planted before ‘T’ time , honestly.

Having had a very early start at work at 4 am this morning, and sitting now watching the 5G installation outside and soon inside, I don’t miss much seeing the same grey sky as yesterday.
10c so far and will go up to 11c.

Same as previous days, but temp dropping to 10c.

Highlight of the day will be refilling the green bin as the men have been. The oaks are still holding onto their leaves.

            :autumn:

Smirry is a new one on me. I like this word very much.

I am not going to bother you all with a report of my weather today, because basically it is not doing anything except sitting there depressingly. If I wanted to look at a grey wall all day, I would check into a jail somewhere. Pfft! :th scifD36:

Breaking news… a slightly different shade of grey today!

I’m trying to find the best day to put washing on the line over the next few days but it’s either too cool and cloudy, or drizzly or both so not looking promising.

While having the installer being busy, I watched the BBC weather and learned that Basingstoke the leader of the stats had 18 minutes sunshine in the recent 11 days.

The promised sun hasn’t materialised, more’s the pity. Still dry though and some washing has almost dried too. Bonus!

Stayed overcast most of the day with dust from Africa but the sun popped out late afternoon albeit hazy. Just got dark. 19c and humid.

It struggled to even reach 9c today, not sure where the forecasters keep getting their above average temperatures from.
They should at least have some idea of how cold it is/isn't.

Most of the shrubs in the garden are evergreens @fairygirl. The pear tree you can see in the corner of the bed is completely naked as are most of the trees at ground level around here.

It doesn't look like anything exists above Leuchars on the map in the link @AuntyRach. They've obviously forgotten about the Highlands.

We've had wall to wall sunshine again today with not a hint of cloud. The temperature dropped to just under 8C/46F overnight - the first time in weeks it's done so. Today it was 11C/52F.

The weather has been good on the whole here since the start of October which is very unusual. Mid October through November usually has the gloomy days the rest of the country is currently suffering, followed by the first snow in the third week. We'll have to wait and see regarding that.
