    I actually listened in on some 999 calls once and a female called in crying and hysterical, the operator kept calm and tried to get more information out of the distraught female. After some calming down she told the operator that she had had her cd player stolen. The operator continued to question the events that lead to the theft. It transpired that her "kid" brother had taken her CD player from her bedroom and taken it into his..... I was gob smacked.
