    Hello all.
We went to dinner with friends yesterday evening so woke up late this morning. I thought I'd posted but I haven't.

I hope you found a nice duvet set @Allotment Boy .
What a shame about the Amaryllis @Songbird.
Your walk by the sea sounds lovely @Ergates.

Haven't done much today. My new jam pan arrived from the big river company. We went to T'sco and Sainsbugs but they didn't have Seville oranges. I bought a can of Mamade as backup. Will look again later.

    Off to cook dinner.

Well @Songbird my amaryllis is still just leaves but I do always stake them from Day 1. I doubt I will get a flower bud now. I will live in hope.

Good morning all. Finally calm morning, but freezing. Last two days were so bad with extremely high wind and snow. We didn't have school at Monday, but will have this Saturday instead. Hope deliveries will arrive today now when is no wind. This time I expect food for my pets. It's time to finish my tea and go out. Have a nice day and see you later.

It would be nice to know that all is fine with @PatE and @Badly_Maintained. As has been mentioned by others I am missing seeing them around.

                  Good morning all.

@PatE hasn't responded to my message on the jigsaw site but she has done a puzzle.

There has been a big moon the last couple of nights. The garden was lit up.

Probably will be another quiet winter day here, may do the ironing, may do some pruning and the shower room needs cleaning.

Woke to a very misty morning here. Porridge with fruit for breakfast, OH will continue with his work in the en suite. Hopefully new lights will go up today. I’ll do some housework, that’ll keep me busy but on hand in case OH needs some assistance. It always amazes me how housework could turn into a full time job if I let it. I can’t imagine how I coped when I was working and bringing up the children. Presumably a blind eye was applied to most of our surroundings! We always had clean clothes and home cooked meals, so I suppose the essentials all got done.
Interesting that you could have school on a Saturday to make up for a bad weather day in the week, @Ante1. I can’t see that happening here!

                      Morning all.

I was thinking that too @Ergates - no way would schools do Saturday instead! Is that fairly common for adverse weather etc @Ante1? Fascinating.

The sun is out here so I must go and see it. I’ll resist gardening but a cuppa and walk round to see what bulbs and plants are waking up will be a lovely tonic. Back to work tomorrow so I must make the most of today’s chance to go outside.

                      Have a good day everyone.

Good morning. Bright and sunny here but freezing. I've been out to physio and had a good session. Just having a cuppa and then another coat of paint awaits. No point trying to do any gardening as walking on frost over sog will do more harm than good.

I hope the plumbing fix arrives on time @Liriodendron and that your back behaves @AuntyRach.

Same goes for anyone awaiting house fixes, body healing and/or bereavement. Hunker down, have some chocolate and dream of spring.

                          Good morning everyone!!

Faffing around - it's cold again ad there's a glacial wind blowing. Certainly; doesn't warrant any gardening even though it's sunny.

@NannyBeach is another one that used to post fairly regularly. That reminds me @Ladybird4 I have some iris bulbs that need planting. Glad your heat pump will be sorted by tomorrow - you must be freezing @Liriodendron

Glacial on the bike ride this morning. Only 2 dog walkers out!!

Have a pleasant day everyone !!

That reminds me, we have a box of Guylian chocs left over from Christmas!
Our caravan site shuts today till 1st March. When it reopens, we will not be far off British summer time. I need to book its annual valet and polish!

So I contacted my niece in California, asked her about her venue she had for her wedding, about 10 years ago in Malibu, she said its all burned down. Sad.

I had thought of going outside to prune some roses but it looked so damp and grey that I didn't. All I've done today is clean the shower room, read and play with my laptop. Done Wordle, Quordle and Octordle. Haven't even done the ironing.

I've painted nearly every room in the cottage, tiled the kitchen, made curtains and cushions, replanted the garden etc now it's time to relax but it makes me feel I should be doing something
