                          On this note,
                          when I was 13 I asked my Mother timidly just before Mothers' Day if she could possibly bump up my allowance to allow me to buy a very special secret gift I had been saving for for ages but my funds just weren't there...

                          Plenty of eye lash fluttering went into this plea as well but I thought it unwise to add the mascara cost into it.

                          My Mother relented and gave some cash.

                          When she opened her gift on Mothers' Day she had the good grace to burst into laughter before calling me all the names I deserved.

                          Anyways, the LP was played very, very often so a very thoughtful gift after all, I believe :redface:
