Good morning @Ladybird4 and all to come.

It's sunny and frosty here. I won't be gardening today as we are going to friends to lunch. My tummy is OK now.

Yesterday I swept and sprayed the 2 patios and the kitchen path. I think I've done all that I meant to do before we leave on Tuesday. We will stay with OH's daughter then take the ferry on Thursday. Back here mid April.

      Good morning,
A lovely, sunny morning here. Still on the chilly side, though.
Glad you’re feeling better @Busy-Lizzie, and I hope you have a smooth crossing on Thursday.
Church shortly and then might do some tidying in the garden.

Morning. I don't know what happened to the sun - it was lovely at 7am.
OH is starting an 8 week bushcraft and wellness course today. I did (rather selfishly, I admit) grumble that 8 consecutive Sunday lunchtimes is bad timing, especially when I am the taxi. However, I know how much he's looking forward to it and he needs to get out of the house by himself more. He's had such a rough time these past 4 years, that it's lovely to see him enthused.
I shall be in the greenhouse while he's out!

I have had a very lazy morning reading and snuggling with the pussycats. It's sunny but feels cold again in that wind. Bed making planned for this pm - literally dismantling the double pine bed and repacing it with a single so I have room for my exercises.

OH plays golf almost every Sunday from mid March to late autumn @Penny_Forthem cos that's when the non retired members can play and compete. He gets back mid to late afternoon and sometimes goes back for the prize giving, landing home again in time for roast dinner. From Easter to Halloween he represents his club in inter-club competitions around the region most Tuesdays and Thursdays are for senior golf competitions. Gets him out, keeps him fit and happy and means I get to do what I like/want/need to do.

I have some stuff to spray our terrace too @Busy-Lizzie but I need to wait for a still day or at least a change of wind direction. Hope lunch is good.

          Happy Sunday everyone.

I’ve had a lazy morning too. Can’t go to see MIL until later today as there are road closures for a Half Marathon near her. Having a debate with OH about my gravel beach ‘garden’. I like the self-seeded Aquilegias and Forget-M-Nots etc, but apparently (to the un-trained eye) they are untidy weeds! Compromise reached as I have cleared an area where we walk through to the pond, but keeping the ones at the back.

            Have a super Sunday everyone.

Good afternoon everyone, we had our first lunch of the year sitting out on the patio. We had to retreat back in as soon a the sun moved round behind a huge conifers a couple of gardens away.
The painter came to deal with the snagging and lift the tape etc. He had his son with him this time, he seemed to take much more care, and was more amenable to my point about taking a little longer, but getting it right. The other guy that was with him before was fast but slapdash. Got £100 knocked off the bill as a goodwill gesture.

Happy Sunday. still here at our 2nd home. a little chilly but sunny. Saw a white pelican sitting on our dockwalk, could not get close enough before it flew off. Not too much on my list to do today. Should go for a walk. take care all.

Evening all. Lovely day here but it’s going to be frosty tonight. Chicken dinner on the go and a Sunday evening with no work the next day. Taking Dad to a hospital appointment tomorrow and going to hire a wheelchair for the trip as we had to wait an hour for a hospital wheelchair last time. How ridiculous to have to take a wheelchair to a hospital, but if it shortens our trip then worth it.

                  Enjoy your evening folks.

Good afternoon all. I was convinced I would be able to get into the garden today but it was far too cold and not even any cheery sun to make it seem warmer. I have done a load of knitting for my second baby blanket - one of these little people is due to make an appearance this week. The cat grass is now down where Cricket can access it easily and several of my tomatoes are through now. I should be getting my dahlia seeds this week - with a bit of luck - and the forecast is looking good for Tuesday onwards so maybe then I'll be able to get ito my garden. Trust you have had a nice lunch with your friends today @Busy-Lizzie. I guess it will be all systems go tomorrow preparing for your trip to Eastbourne on Tuesday. @Penny_Forthem, sorry to read that your OH has had a rough time and I'm sure that his course will give him a feeling of wellbeing. @AuntyRach, I am going to experience another road closure near me on the 6th. Just a full day's closure so I'm hoping its a pothole filling exercise. I agree about the nonsense of the BYO wheelchair! Glad you got all the snagging sorted @Allotment Boy, and a well deserved discount.

A very good morning to you all. There is nothing quite as nice as that first cup of Nectar of the Gods - be it tea or coffee depending on your preference. Just enjoying mine after having fed Cricket. A bit dark yet to weigh up the weather but I remain ever the optimist. Whatever you have planned for today, I hope everything goes smoothly. Get that packing done @Busy-Lizzie!

Work today but enjoyed yesterday’s sunshine in the garden.

I love a self-seeding gravel garden too @AuntyRach. It has taken a long time to train my OH to appreciate a more naturalistic style of gardening. Initially he was forever saying variations on doesn’t this need tying-in/cutting back/weeding out. Now we just have the occasional artistic difference. Hope the hospital visits go ok.

Is it just men that like TIDY gardens! Hubby often goes around suggesting plants are trimmed back as they are taking over. He points to them using his foot! He likes doing the heavy shrub stuff, especially removal, and I think he would be content to just have a lawn. I like lots of interest and secret places. Good job I do most of the gardening and lawn mowing. It was great to be back out in the garden yesterday and hopefully more this week.

@Butterfly6 I am trying to think of a hill facing east in Birmingham.
