    Hello all

    I Hope you are Well.

It is Finally getting to the Time when I will be giving the Lawns their First Cut of the Year.

I am planning on Cutting the Lawns once the Green Bin is Emptied, also for the First Time of the Year, Next Thursday, 13 March.

The Lawns are looking a little worse for wear, probably due, in part, to the Leather Jacket Infestation I had in the Autumn (2024).

The Lawns contain the following Grasses:
    • Dwarf Ryegrass
    • Creeping Red Fescue
    • Chewings / Red Fescue
    • Smooth Stalked Meadow Grass
    • Common Bentgrass
Do you Think that I should Overseed the Lawns, I have the Exact Seed Mix of the Lawns, or should I just leave the Lawns alone?

    Thanks in advance

    Kevin

    Hello all

    I Hope you are Well.

I have been out in the Back Garden for a few Hours This Morning and have almost Finished getting it ready for Spring :phew:

This is how the Back Garden looks now:

    1#1$20250309121739745.jpg

I have the area at the Bottom of the Garden, next to the Shed to do where a Spreading Cotoneaster has Grass growing through it.

I will do that Area once the Green Bin is Emptied for the First Time This Year on Thursday.

I just need to Tidy the Front Garden now which is also Waiting for an Empty Green Bin.

I have managed to, Finally, Level the Front Lawn where the Small Weeping Cherry was Removed.

Two 25KG Bags of 70/30 Top Dressing does not go far, at least I now know for Next Time.

The Lawn Lute was a real Help with this Job, however, it was Hard Work to Push around, at least it is now done.

After it was Levelled I Sowed Grass Seed and am going to Water it Twice a Day for a Couple of Weeks and see how it goes, Hopefully Well, Hopefully.

    Thanks

    Kevin

      Hello all

      I Hope you are Well.

I have been having some difficulty getting access to Leaves behind Shrubs etc. so.....

This Morning, my Sister was kind enough to take me to a relatively Local Garden Centre (Branton) which also has a Mower Shop.

I have picked up a Mountfield MBL 50 Li Leaf Blower which uses the same Battery as my Mountfield 34 Li Lawn Mower.

It will definitely make removing the Leaves much easier.

I just need to remember not to use the Highest Setting as it Blows Soil too :wallbanging:

      Thanks

      Kevin
