All my supermarket shopping is done in person so I'm able to pick the best, and largest, vegetables, take advantage of offers that I would not have seen online but can see as I march up and down the aisles (Bought a whole leg of lamb at Sainsbury's this morning at half price) and take the opportunity to buy my petrol cheaper whilst I'm there.

I tend to find a can of Heinze beans is the same if I get it delivered or if I buy it in store:biggrin:
Likewise beer, or loaves of bread.
I do go once a week and just pick up things like fruit or meat and fish that I prefer to select myself.
I just get them to deliver the heavy and basic stuff.;)

I used to hate having to do the once a week big supermarket shopping trip but have had it delivered ever since Covid. I don't think I'd ever revert back as I find it's so much easier and convenient. Yes, you can miss some bargains, have to accept some substitutions but think I don't get tempted nearly so often to spend more than I intended. No more lugging heavy shopping in and out of the car either or fighting my way right through town in all the traffic.

Just had to check the calendar, they put the usual road block on the M20 last night, to stop holiday traffic causing congestion.:roflol:

Then the bald poisoned dwarf that does the weather said tonight that the weather is set fair for the Easter holidays.

My calendar says easter is two weeks time.?????

I agree. It seems to me that they can't tell me for sure what's happening tomorrow so why don't they admit that they are quite often just guessing? Over here I believe that they often misjudge how high or low the winds will be and that screws up the timing of their guesswork. :rolleyespink:

Okay, I'd never heard of that. Time change different dates, Mother's day different but the God stuff? I thought that was the same all round the globe

I learned something new again today :blue thumb:

Morrisons, for mobility reasons I have had them deliver to me since 2020 Almost always good for the past five years, Unitl my bank replaced my visa Debit card in FEB
Morrisons online do not recognise it, but my daughters tried their older visa cards and they accepted them fine, So they convinced me it was my card (no groceries that week) went to my bank RBS they checked it nothing wrong, desperate to get deliveries back I set up an account with Sainsbury's no problem card fine, so I had expensive groceries that week, went back to Morrisons,, still not working, Anyway RBS issued me a new card, Still not accepted by Morrisons

Morrisons have not helped me in anyway, though I needed to stay with them as they took a full years delivery pass out of my bank Now APR still no joy other than they have now sent me an email stating, I am not the only one now that has reported this as they have problems with several banks with the same thing
Just now I am using ASDA

As for Morrisons almost always good, on one occasion I too got as bottle of Whisky with the theft device on, I was advised to take to the local stores and ask them to remove it

Oh I Hello I just bought this and the security cap needs removed, remove it please lol

It was only last week that they were saying we were going to have a cold snap and heavy snow... 19ºC here today....

Strange they managed to take the delivery pass money but now reject your card, I use a master card credit online card.

I got the self same message from customer services today telling me to take it to my local store to get the security cap taken off, and I gave them the same reply you did, not keen on spending time in the police cells while they work it out.

I also pointed out that I didn't buy it online only to take it to the store the next day:dunno:

They'll smarten up when the cost of replacement security caps start adding up!

Can't remember - I saw it online one night whilst I was in Scotland... I just remember it making me chuckle given that I'd just had a couple of days in Scotland in March where I was outside in a t-shirt.

I think the reference to Easter and holidays is because many schools break up tomorrow. My grandsons actually broke up yesterday. If the weather is looking nice, we can expect a lot more traffic on the roads round here, and a lot of our favourite haunts turn into no go areas with crowds of families.
