well next door said i could use her garage so i put two bird boxes up.think only one of them will get used but is it possible that they both could be used at the same time..i only put two up for a bit of shelter in the winter:thumb:

Sparrows nest together. I built a 'double roomed' box this year to try and get some in to my garden ,but only had a Great Tit move in and lost half the rent:rolleyes:

Most birds are territorial - house sparrows seem to be an exception - so each pair of the same species will need their own area and they won't nest close together. Blue tits, blackbirds, robins, and no doubt many others are like this. But if they are different species with differenct habits they can happily co-exist in the same area, so I suppose it's possible that you could get, say, both a blue tit and house sparrow nesting there.
