Is It A Fork Or Is It A Spade??

Came across this old garden implement yesterday and wondered what it was and what it was used for.

 

I would go with a spade for digging in heavy clay soil,that would cling to the back of a normal one.

 

its an irish snow shovel

 

A bog diggers driffle.

 

At a guess a transplanting/ dividing spade due to the shape.

 

its an open clay spade...... do I get a prize now??

Glen,I can't open the second link but I reckon it's more along the lines of a ...'Fade' rather than a 'Spork':D...... It's a spade with two cut out oblongs leaving an inch border of metal on all sides...(A three tine fork with a blade across the cutting edge)
