Sorry Paul, but I must disagree with you slightly. Nowt wrong with NVQ's and part time studies. Sometimes that's the only way for people who left school with none or few qualifications because of various circumstances can get on. NVQ's just don't involve paper pushing, they also cover forestry, horticulture etc.

If youngsters are prepared to put the time in for little or no reward whilst they are studying, then good luck to them.

    I'm sure you agree.......:thumb:

    I agree Spud.

I was born in a time where you left school and got a job....you never thought of it being any other way...but times have changed of course. Then I left the security to live my dream of becoming a pro-musician. I did it and it was fabulous...saw an awful lot of the world and made a success of my life.

When I could no longer do that, I became a free lance photographer.....OK, there was a point where I had to sign on, as I had a family to support...but that was of necessity, not of choice...I soon got back on my feet so to speak.

    I haven't retired rich or anything...just comfortable....but I wouldn't change a thing.:thumb:

I don't know but if it was custard creams and a cuppa... I'd be there :D

I'm not sure about the other ones, but the one she had to goto was called a4e and they made her go every weekday, she told me it made job searching harder for her in the end though
