Rosa, sorry that didn't sort it out for you. Hope you get sorted soon.

I also have sound problems with my new computer Dell Vostro 2oo been on to the Dell helpline and have been told I need external speakers, I have a sharp flatscreen moniter with intergrated speakers... Yes I have checked all the connecting wires even moved the one in the back of the computer around just in case I had it in the wrong hole! I have looked in the usual places sound/audio followed instructions all to no avail and thinking about it I have never had any sound on this new one.
The speaker pictures when running the mouse over them come up with a red no entry sign on them double clicked .right clicked but the no entry sign prevails any ideas any one ?

You might need to set up the computer to run the sound through the integrated speakers rather than out through the audio line.
Try going Start> Control panel> Sounds and audio devices> Audio and selecting another default device.
If that doesn't work perhaps contact Sharp re. setup procedures. :)
