Can anyone recommend a decent pressure sprayer? I'm looking for one with metal (brass?) fittings that keeps pressure well and has about 5 litre capacity. Its for weedkilling on the lawn (verdone!).

The one I have at the moment is almost entirely plastic and....well... rubbish.

I use Killapray (SP?) which seem to last pretty well.

You don't want a very fine spray for Verdone, more of a "fan jet". A fine mist will carry more easily on any breeze, and might damage flower beds etc. I find evening the best time, when the wind drops.

Hi, I recomend a cooper pegler sprayer, These are the industry standard sprayer for profeshional horticultural use. Virtually indestructable and spares available next day ( not that Ive ever needed any).

I use the 5 litre one below for spraying insecticides and fungicides and a also a knapsack ( CP15) for weedkillers.

As kristen mentions you need a flat fan nozzle for spraying lawns, I use a green nozzle. The sprayer below comes with a cone spray but yourd need to get a fan nozzle for it.

BTW, it doesnt use brass fittings but doesnt need to as its extremly strong.

i use another excellent pressure sprayer, plastic housing, carrying straps, brass tube with flextible spraying hose. the nozzle was solid brass and it have two functions spraying, one was spray shape and the other was line shape, you can adjust it easily.
5 litres with pressrue 3 bar, it has safety pressure release valve, pressure gauge help u control the operationg pressure.it really good. maybe you should try.

I`d recommend a micron sprayer if you can find one secondhand (over £100 new)
It takes me about 5 minutes to treat 1600 sqft of lawn plus you dont need to pump it up ;)
