No one rips off spud!!!

Last july some moron in a lorry drove in to the back of my old van he blamed me to i mean stopping at a roundabout who dose that eh :rolleyes: anyway it went off to the aproved repairers then back to me then back again cos it looked like steivie wounder had done it still looked crap so i complained an complained

they said i could take it somewhere else but they would not supply me a van to use in the meantime so i went to the ombisman an today finally theyve agreed to give me £450.00 to make up for the crap price i got for it when i got me new un :D

well worth the wait :D

Ok but ill charge interest on it:D i nearly fell off me chair when i opened the letter :o it means they valued the van at a grand!

I am just in the process of complaining about a carpet I ordered - was sent the wrong design which they insist was the one I ordered. But I had kept a pic of the one I ordered - they are still trying to deny it. Think an omsbudman might sort it for me
if I don't get the answer I want?

Im glad Im with NFU mutaual, being a mutual company it is run on fairer basis and you deal with real folk in a local office.

When my van was wrote off earlier this year incidentally by a loory (milk tanker) i got a hire van for 2 weeks at no cost plus i didnt even have to pay my excess as it is protected. The cheque was isued within 14 days and the whole thing fairly painless.

 

Yep i was stationary but he said i shouldnt have been because i was over the white line whitch was true when he looked due to the fact hed just pushed my van over it with 7.5 ton of lorry :eek:

i got a hire van the first time pro but they said that it wasnt on my policy the second time despite it being there repaier who caused the problem :rolleyes:

 

so did he admit liability spud?

 

Not as such no :rolleyes: but he offerd to pay himself at first until i got a quite fer 550 quid then he tried to blame me :rolleyes: then he wanted to say it happened another day cos he didnt tell his boss so i had to ring his boss n tell him myself his boss said well its obviously his fault if he went in the back of u lol
