Pam: don't give them names, you must not get attached otherwise you'll never be able to eat them! :thumb:

    Looking good though :)

Charley is not what you would call a looker is she Pam, a bit too short and fat. Tee hee, only joking I'm sure you are proud of her, I haven't got any near that size yet.

    Hi Pam,
Just joined the forum. Its my first year of growing & I haven't got alot of experience but I found out off my father-in-law that one of my cucumber plans was a marrow plant! & what I thought was a cucumber, looks alot like yours! Are you sure its a cucumber?

    hi debbie
yes and no ,i don`t have any marrow seeds ,i only grow a few bits and bobs for myself and o.h. .and this is our first year here ,we moved in last november and find most of the back floods ! , i currently have a bush apple slowly drowning, also we are on the first bungalow and get wind on the calmest days ,from every direction.so i can only container grow.i am really trying trial and error to see what i can grow,

the "cucumber" in question can be grown to gherkin sizes, and honestly she is built more like a gherkin ,she doesn`t have the svelte look of her slimmer sisters,

i think as i have visitors wednesday it will be her day ,i will let you know what she tastes like
