I did, but then I left the rental house (garden) behind me and never looked back :lollol:

Great bargains everyone! 10p is certainly a bargain and a half! Well done!

If anyone wants any advice on how to be a complete disaster at a car boot sale I can help. Ive only done one. The first venue was flooded so I had to drive around to find another one, that one was virtually rained off but not before I sold a bike i paid £70 for went for a £1.00. My brother in law refused to stand on the pitch with me. said he was embarrased with all the rubbish I was selling! The finale was selling a trampette for £4.00 and then doing a runner leaving everything else behind.

The next day my wife said where is my trampette--I had to spend £40 buying her a new one!

Hi guys not be able to go to many car boots lately because of the rubbish weather but managed to get out last Sunday and brought two gardening tools good strong ones built to last...well I hope so this will be my third fork!

Well here they are of course being a jack of all trades (a master of none) I gave them a make-over in Hel's very own style it has given the guys down on the plots a good giggle now all I have to do is con Bob into holding one when the guys come round for a talk ..... wish I had bright pink paint instead of the purple!

Gotta be a bargain at £1 each I didn't even have to haggle

All our other tools are going to have the same make-over Bob's going to love that!:lollol:Hel.xxx.

Love the paintwork! Maybe it'll catch on and gardeners all across the country will be customising their spades and forks to brighten up the allotments. I fancy a nice hot-pink candystripe! Anyone else like to say what colours they would pick?

Hate to bump an old thread but what with it being car boot season again.

Pick these lovely loppers up a month ago for £3. Gave them a de-rusting, sanded down the handles and good helping of linseed oil and they're good as new.

        I love carboot sales; I've picked up a few bargains this year;
Bundle of 20-25 2/3lt pots for 50p, needless to say I bought all she had :D
30 cut flower buckets for 50p, make excellent 4/5lt pots with a few holes popped in the bottom.
A very mature hosta in a large pot for £1.
A large Fuschia Thalia for 50p.
        A white semi-double Camelia, about 30" tall for £2.

These are just a few, I really have to restrain myself :D, my wife comes out with her usual phrase every time we see a plant stall - "just keep on walking.....keep walking :D", bless her :thumb:

Been to another carboot sale today and picked up a couple of Lysimachia ciliata 'Firecracker plants for 25p each!!!!!, very healthy & flowering and in 6" pots, I'm going to pop them in larger pots and add them to the collection until I've dug my perennial border for them all :thumb:

First stall by the gate had a sign "Seeds 20p packet", so made a mental note to check it out after looking for some bigger bargains, but there were none and I almost forgot to look in those boxes before leaving, but I'm glad I did.

Franchi Seeds of Italy packets with expiry dates up to 2014 for 20p!

I went to a carboot sale during August and bought 3 orange geums, which were having a second flush of flowers, for £1 each. I thought that was pretty good considering they were good sized plants. They are now planted in my borders ready for next year.
