    Hi can anyone help please.

I have a salix tree and it seems to have some sort of problem, on the branches it have black markings appearing and is losing some of its leaves.

I do cut this tree quite a lot to keep it the size and shape that I want, could this be causing it damage or could it be an insect of some sort damaging the stems?

    Hi Maurice,
Do you have any pictures you can post to help identify the problem at all?

    Hi

I have now found out what the problem is with my Salix tree, it has Willow Blight and there is only one cure that is a very very cold winter which I doubt we will get.
