brassica problem?

    It looks similar, but that is a Californian weevil. Is it known to be in this country? Also, in my beast, the pic shows a weevil protrusion at the front,(a down curved spike). Not apparent in the bean weevil you have shown. I'm not at all sure. Whatever they are, I would mike to know if there is any safe "for veg' " sprays that would get rid of them.

    I guess that since they are on my various brassicas, which will not go to seed, no harm will be done. I shall assume that anyway and see what happens. There is a lot of oil seed rape around the area that I live

    Good luck, my Brussels Sprouts are covered in caterpillars of various sorts at the moment and becoming a lot less like gardening and more like constant squeezing of bugs and inspections 4 or 5 times a day. If a plant survives I may get some for my Christmas table!
