    Beautiful photos of roses - I am sure I can smell them from here. With Woo and everyone else's wonderful advice I shall hopefully have some next year :thumb:

    Ferdinand pitchard, a beutifull rose but Ive found often the buds dont open properly....

    @ Paul, never had a problem with my Ferdinand P, I did have a lot of trouble with buds on a Maiden's Blush, an old Alba, a lot of buds would go brown before they opened, I've replaced that plant with another Maiden's Blush and that has no problems.

    :thumb: Beautiful blooms again Mike..!! Especially Crepuscule.. The colour & delicate look is beautiful... What I would think of as an "Old fashioned rose..!! :thumb:

    Just a question .... did you ever get any blooms on your Oranges & Lemons which I think you ordered?

    Mine is just blooming again having had a bit of a summer rest.

    ,The answer to your question nothing to show yet ,but it was planted late and in my Garden which is Clay it takes a year or two to settle in as do most plants.

    @ Woo, my soil is almost pure grey sand (ex heathland), what say we hire a wagon and swap soil half and half ;) :rolleyes:
