Is it too late to find some bedding plants that will make a bit of colour in the garden
    for a few weeks.

Our garden is looking rather bare as Jack hasn't managed to do a lot this year
so I was thinking of something simple and hopefully cheapish like french marigolds
that we can just plant for instant colour.

    Any suggestions please?

I noticed bedding plants for sale when I went to B&Q this evening, I would think they would grow OK now (some of them were half price but did look a bit straggly).

B&Q sounds like a good place to start JJordie
and as John says there will probably be some
that are being sold off in your local B&Q - in
fact I would think most of the garden centres
will be trying to sell off their stock.

Only problem would be your choice will be limited to whatever they have in stock.

Depending on the quality jjordie, they should still grow and flower untill the frosts or longer if there are still geraniums around.:)

Limited choice so late in the season but found a small tray of Asters at a
local garden centre only £1.50 for 12 plants and they have just filled a bit of
space. Already one or two flowers on them so they should last for a few weeks.
