Hi, I have not long moved here from Australia, and have always had a garden of some sorts back there.
Have started one here in our very small back yard. Hoping for some help on what I can grow in the garden.

:thumb: Hi Shazz, Welcome to GC & the UK...!!!:thumb::D Are you Australian born & bred.??:)

:) What sort of plants do you like & did you grow in Oz.? We can grow allot of the same here as seasonal..:) Also what is your new garden like? Is it sheltered, what way does it face.? Is it a paved yard or do you have grass or what... ?? There are lots of people here who will have plenty of ideas, but we need a bit more information before we start suggesting..!!;):D:D

Hello, What a welcome...thanks to everyone. Back in Oz my garden was mostly cannas, callistimons (which I have just purchased one) grevilleas, tree ferns, various ferns, lots of gum trees (no choice, but beautuful). Unfortunately, losing a lot to the drought. Very heatbreaking.
My garden here is east west facing, so gets a fair amont of the sun. LOL, and I have been nurturing quite a few weeds, hence joining this garden forum, lol Not a large garden at all, about 15ft by 25ft, have done a garden around the edges so far. Have fallen in love with fuchsias. Have about 8 varieties, all in pots as I dont know which can go in the garden full time. Want an aussie garden out the front yard, about 10ft by 15ft and in fulltime sun. One side being a laurel (I think) hedge. I live very close to a garden centre that I frequent on a regular basis, but unfortunately they are not very helpful on my questions. Sorry for being so long winded, lol
    Shazz

Welcome to the forum mate! :)
Can't imagine anyone wanting to move from a warm, sunny place like Oz back to cold rainy old Britain, but I hope the adjustment has been as painless as possible! :)
