    Hello,

I am trying to find out what type of lily I ahve in my pot! I can only describe that when I brough it there were three of them, hard stems with small leaves coming off all around, flowers at the top.

My problem is that the leaves on the stems are dying off and they look terrible.....what am I doing wrong?! They are in full sun and left to there on devizes so perhaps I need to take care of them better, any thoughts?

Erm... may be your lilies are just going dormant now, after blooming the leaves will slowly die down and the bulb go to sleep until next spring. Is it done blooming?

I agree with Ivory, sounds normal, mine are the same, beautifull plants, but short lived, deadhead if the flowers are finished, then let them die down naturally..Dee..

Ehm yes... can't tell you which one it is though.Yes when bulbs are done with their business they look like corpses. If the plant had enough sun andwater tobuild up new reserves for next yearit will bloom again next summer. Keep it cool and dry in winter and start watering again in spring, warily at first, more when leaves appear. I will benefit from some feeding and watering throughout its growing season... don't leave it completely toits own devices ;)

And watch out for vine weevil grubs, the -----s!
I have to repot mine every year, or else I would not have any growth next year.
And they are worth taking the trouble as they always look so good!

I let them "rot" right down Muddy, give them a tug, they might come away in your hand, if you dont like the look of the dead foliage just cut them off...Dee..
