What's this in my rocket?

    Found this leaf in a packet of rocket salad leaves today.

    Any idea what it is? I tried some and it just tasted 'leafy'. I'm not dead, so presumably it's not poisonous.

    but doesn't nettle have dentate leaves without lobes?

    It's not a nettle it's probably something similar to a wavy leaved thistle

    lol! I only ate a tiny bit.
    It's a very similar shaped leaf to rocket, but hairy.

    Could it be a form of dead nettle?

    I think you could be the winner WL. That looks most like it. Can't say I can recommend it in a culinary way-lol!

    Could it be an oriental poppy leaf? Or even an Opium Poppy leaf:eek::eek:

    Nope I think WisteriaL has the right of it. It doesn't look even remotely like a nettle.

    Let me add that both nettles and common radish leaves are edible and actually tasty, and enjoyable.
