See what you mean my Lady it's a depth of photo thing, the body of the bird is a deciduous larch behind it the neck is a pyramid in a tub with a climber on it behind the head is a hanging basket on the shed they do all seem to blend together.
Bob I do need a bigger garden.Strongy if I get one you can have this:thumb:
Roders the wind is a nuisance it does them no favours.
Kedi the plant near the pond is a Rodgersia it has a beautiful scent and is completely hardy. The plant near the fish is indeed a Eucomis. All the plants on the left are brugs, up to the variegated one they are my own crosses dying to see how the flowers turn out, leaf shape and size or whether the leaves are furry or smooth can often vary more within a species than between different species of Brug. The plants on the right are a tomato behind an Echium and further back a type of dwarf bean growig up canes.

Young Daisy the sail is indeed to protect plants from full summer sun it's 15ft long each side which covers a bigger area than your standard gazebo.
    Thanks Pete.
Fonzie you wouldn't see anything in there now thins have grown.:D
