    Hello everyone

I have been reading you forum and finding it entertaining and educative. Thanks everyone!

I am an australian girl living in france (yvelines just outside of paris) and my husband and i and three kids and two (very naughty dogs...why didnt i listen to my husband!)

We have just brought a house in a small village here with 700mtr (sorry i don't know that in feet) of garden surrounded by (our own) 4 mtr hedge (i think it's Leylandi). One simply enormous conifer and it's slightly smaller brother and some sick grass (like you couldnt have guessed!)

So i begin the adventure of gardening on this side of the globe where it's not tropical (all i know is tropical!) and hope to make some sort of feng shui garden from blighted roses and torn up grass!

At least the view is beautiful

Thankyou all again for your wisdom! I swill need it!!

My husband fell in love with france when he was a teen (girls). He is a Kiwi so there is no understanding them. I would be quite happy against my qld oncean with my palm trees and oriental garden buttttt being the good wife that i be i follow my man to the ends of the earth.

But (a big one) i have learn to really like your side of the globe and its soft pastel beauty!

The only thing is i dont know AT ALL what the kids should be planting (vegies wise) at this time of year (season) so i have my work cut out for me!

Thankyou for the welcomes! And thanks for not calling me a froggy convict! (even though i knows you thought it!)

    Jay
