Was with the college and spotted these two plants on the bottom of the cliffs does anyone know what they could be? i think the first one (white flowered one) is maybe Cakile maritima or Alyssum alyssoides and the second one reminds me some what of a Trefoil but thats about it:rolleyes:

[This one was actually growing into the sand rather than on the cliff]

[Quite a large spreding plant with short bristles or hairs on the stem and leaves:confused:]

The white one I think could be Sea Kale. not sure about the other one. I have seen them both on south coast beaches.

I kinda agree with sea kale but what bugs me is that the sea kale on Google images tends to be of completely different leaf shape and generally has more flowers?

Kalmia, I agree it is a poor looking specimen of sea kale but I still believe that is what it is.

I dont think the first one is sea Kale, the one I have and the one that grows on Romney Marsh has flowers in large heads.
I see where your coming from with iberis, definitely looks like the cabbage family.

The pink one looks like it might make a good garden plant, although I haven't a clue what it might be.
