    Hi can anyone tell me what compost to use to pot on a acer that I have been given.Also what compost to use for a Loropetalum (fire dance)

    Acers are not really all that fussy on soils so long as they are not too alkaline
    If you are potting on into a larger pot mix some finely sieved garden soil with an equal amount of good potting compost, then add a little bone meal (or similar) and a handful of vermiculite. Make sure there is good drainage in the bottom of the pot
