    Hi Folks,

    Could this be honeysuckle?

It is almost 18 inches high.
The leaves are an almost fuzzy velvet texture. No scent.

    TIA

The focus could be better so I am not sure, but it doesn´t look like honeysuckle to me seems a bit too upright and straight. No idea what it could be though.

    Thanks Ivory.
It was a bit windy when I took the photos.
If I find out what it is, or if it develops fruit or flowers, I'll keep you posted.
It may have been growing unnoticed among the weeds for a few years and would have been strimmed down several times too.
    Cheers

    It might be Lonicera xylosteum

    http://www.botanicalkeys.co.uk/flora/content/species.asp?1833

Although not every photo I have seen ot this has the almost translucent velvet leaves. Some seem to have the more typical "waxy" honeysuckle leaves.

When (if) it flowers I will update you all.

Thanks to you all, especially Ivory and coub.

This is a Lonicera xylosteum photo from the web:
