The whole plant was completely flattened in the rain and wind last night. All 5 flowering stems were snapped off at the base. Incredibly annoying as it looked particularly spectacular before.

My question is...is it easy to split a plant? The one I have is now a couple years old and already rather established where it is.

Yep, you can take the rooted side shoots from the plant with a sharp spade. I usually do it in autumn or spring.

Right. Seeing as the plant is no longer pretty I'll give splitting it a go now. Should be able to split a couple off the main no problem. Thanks chengjing.
