Hi there.....help with posting photos?

Hi everyone,

Im new to the forum and was just wondering how to post a photo from my hard drive?
I can't find anything to help, despite looking for a while?

Any ideas?

Hiya there lewinsm, I've had similar problems. I decided to make an account with a 3rd party, photobucket. I am not aware of any current ways to upload images from your computer to the forum. I'd recommend a 3rd party like photobucket. Quick registration, easy to use.

You need not put your entire content of your digital camera on there, just what you intend to share. One tip if you do make an account though, make sure when you upload, set the upload to 800x600 or less. This way, it makes viewing the photo in this forum (and others) less of a hassle (any bigger than 800x600 and the viewer will have to use horizontal scrolling as the entire image won't fit into your browser window).

Just an addition to the above advice. I think you will find that photobucket do actually reduce the size to 800x600. They also have a facility on there where you can reduce it even futher once it is on photobucket.:thumb:
