    Hi everyone

I got one of those bags of mixed salad seeds (Tuscan mix) and sowed them in a trough and in my plot, only trouble is I don't know which plant is which, and there seem to be at least six types of plant growing when it only said there were five on the pack! I'm wondering whether any are weeds... The following urls are pix of my salad trough (I couldn't get the pix into the post, again!):

Can anyone tell me what I have growing there, and if any are weeds? I think I can identify rocket, chicory and kale, but not sure about the rest. The mix is meant to have those three plus two types of lettuce. If anyone could identify them I'd be grateful... don't want to accidentally eat a weed! :o

The second photo has at least 3 rockets (its leaves look very like a dandelion shape), that's as much as I can tell. Trouble is plants look very similar when they are at the early leaf stages.

:thumb: I would say rocket too & Lollo Rosso probably too..
:) In Tuscan salad leaves seed mix, you usually get..Chicory(Italico Rosso), Rocket (Dentellata), Lettuce (Lollo Rossa), Lettuce (Catalogna Cerbiata) and Kale (Nero de Toscana)... Hope that helps..:)

You've got a lot of salady stuff there. With mixed salads it makes it easier to wait for a bit of growth, until you can spot some sort of uniformity, you'll soon get your eye in for the salads.
