And finally - the strawberries that ran away from home!

Please observe the "Genuine reproduction plastic Victorian strawberry planter". Bought at great price from QVC about 8 years ago, now standing empty and forlorn whilst the strawbs make merry in the vegetable patch, thus foiling my intentions to have peas and broad beans in for this year!

They are what one might call - rampant!

L o L thats a beautiful shot of the balloon flower (with bee) the light is just right well done,I obtained a pink one this year they are supposed to be easy from seed so will try some.

 

Strongy! Congratulations on having yourThevetia bloom, it's beautiful! (sorry, I've only now caught up with this thread) How tall is it, it looks huge. Mine is in desperate need of repotting and I forgot to water it last week so it dropped some leaves. Do you keep it inside all of the time? Mine is on the patio for the summer. Yours grew very quickly, didn't it. I think it has only been about 18 months since you planted the stones. Very well done :thumb:

Love all the other gorgeous flowers everyone, the pages are just bursting with beauties. Never seen a blue fuchsia biker, very out-of-the-ordinary.

 

@ Rosa, nice set of pics, love the poppy, but could you add a blank line between pics, it can get a bit confusing with same or similar coloured backgrounds knowing where one pic ends and the next starts, maybe also add the name of the variety, if known.

 

kedi, they are only 3 ft high, I put one on a bench in the greenhouse knelt down and took the pic looking up.:D They are inside all year round which is why they have grown so well.

 

I thought this Rose was called'Happy Birthday' but I see the rose of that name is a small patio bush. Any ideas...I'm sure there was some reference to Birthday's in it's name.

I can't answer regarding your rose, Pal .... you need Woo for that .... it's lovely and velvety looking.

Imp, your Solanum rantonnetii is wonderful (you can just see mine next to my Begonia) and that rose is lovely also.

My beautiful Agapanthus is opening its first flowers in the fronds of the Jacaranda ....



And a glorious double Hibiscus rosa-sinensis my visiting friend bought for me the other day ....

 

Lovely roses pal and inter, and your agapanthus looks spectacular in that setting Lol!

Bob, I have three of these corner concrete pots (and several square and rectangular ones which we buy at pottery places here) .... you can use them individually or they put four together to make a circle. These are 40cm on the straight edge and cost £14-16 depending on pattern. We have two of the one with the Hibiscus on the dining patio and this plain one on the front of house patio, which we actually prefer ....



It has a Bamboo in it kindly sent from roders and in the terracotta pot a Chilopsis from pete .... pete's pot was just temporarily sitting there whilst wall painting was going on as it lives in a sunnier position than the Bamboo.

 

Lol, my Agapanthus have large buds forming, a few weeks behind yours but the A. Purple Cloud I bought (3 small plants) haven't grown at all, very disappointing.

I discovered this morning one of the banes of my life of gardening here has returned with a vengeance ... it is growing everywhere I don't want it ....
