    I,m in a bit of a pickle i have to large trees in my garden and they are sucking all of my sunlight out of my garden,I,m not prepared to cut the trees down[I prune back every year].

    I need ideas to shade loving plants/shrubs that would look appropiate in a japanese themed garden.

    Today i got my hands on a Polemonium,Brise d' Anjou, Jacobs Ladder and to be fair it fits in a treat..............but i,m all out of ideas:confused:

    Thanks in advance:thumb::):thumb:

    Astilbes are lovely plants and like shade - but if you have 2 thirsty trees, astilbes would probably be deprived of water as they like it damp.

    Dry shade loving plants are mentioned on this site...

    Hope this helps Slink :thumb:
