The Nut .... you have the same taste as I .....

Shawshank Redemption is my No 1 of all time I think ....

But then there's that one where a cop went undercover into a prison with only his partner knowing and the partner got killed and the cop couldn't get out ........ what was that ????? Had me on edge ..... I worked in American criminal law for ten years and this really got to me ....

How about A Perfect Storm? Horrors ......

Love The Abyss .... and agree ET was SOOOOOO cute .... as were the Gremlins ....

I don't have one particular favourite but these stand out in different ways.

2001(showed space as it is, slow and boring not Star Wars style)

Outlaw Josey Wales (revived the western),

    Salvador (just shockingly realistic)

Ben Hur (The ultimate Biblical epic)

This Island Earth (Sci Fi,FX ahead of it's time).

Star Wars-the original trilogy, I still believe I will become a jedi knight.

The reason has changed over the years, but the core remains the same. Good triumphs over evil always. Nice if you can find it.
