I send my homage to Oscar and my owners, Sally and Jenny, send their regards.

I can't say I would have fancied trying to cut the claws of any cat as they would have showed me how to be a scratching post.:cry3:

I did once have a monster of a cat, he was Huge a bit of a Thug to say the least, and always getting in fights. He came back one day bearing the fresh scars of a "no holds barred" fight. The most serious wound was a hole in the top of his head nearly an inch in diameter all round and so deep his skull was exposed. The idea of picking up the thug so that my wife could administer medical aid did not appeal to me at all, as from past experience I knew the Thug would have me by the throat and other sensitive places! But my wife insisted so I got a huge thick towel from the bathroom and swaddled the Thug in it so he couldn't, hopefully, tear my throat out and make me into a soprano. I was stunned when the Thug just lay in the towel against my chest and actually purred while my wife cleaned out the huge deep wound and patched it up.

He came in every day to allow us to check his wounds and clean them until they were cured. He still stayed a Thug as as a few days later when I went to stroke him he drew blood. Once a Thug, always a Thug!:D

Oscar's just a pussy cat! :yess: :heehee:

I'm not sure how much he would let me do but Mrs shiney can do anything to him. She sometimes lifts him off his back legs by his tail and he doesn't even struggle. When she lets him down he just turns to her and rubs up against her leg.

What he really does enjoy is when she does reflexology on his paws. He can fall asleep to that. :)

We used to get the vet to trim William's claws. But he's not too keen on vets. So now OH does them at home. He's allowed to do so ... but no one else is.

I remember Oscar from when he adopted you:WINK1: and how he took over the greenhouse, haha.
I just love that pic of him being Mrs Shineys scarf :loll: Just classic!

Just one question - why does Mrs S lift him up by the tail? :heehee: I'm laughing my head off at this. You always make me smile Shiney!

She lifts him up by his tail and sometimes his front paws just to be playful and also because she says it gives him a stretch as he is always stretching. :dbgrtmb:
