Nearly all the leaves are curled now and it looks like blackfly are the cause. Anything I can use to spray the tree with? Something systemic perhaps?

Assuming the tree is small enough to be sprayed, then yes, do so. You are right in thinking you need a systemic spray, but check that it can be used on edible crops.:thumb:

Check that it`s suitable for use on edible crops, don. Otherwise the crop will be useless.:)

I have this problem too... lots of plums setting nicely but the leaves are all curled up. looks like it's getting worse.

Did a bit of research and it seems it's usually caused by a type of aphid but I can't find a single one anywhere.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Nick.

Nick, if there`s no sign of aphids, then the plant possibly has leaf curl virus. Not a lot you can do about it, but it shouldn`t harm the fruit.:)
