Oh, Celia, that is awful and very upsetting news! I do so hope that the vet is wrong but if he/she is right, then that little Millie can be helped. Give her some cuddles from me too, and a big hug for you. My thoughts are with you. x

Such a beautiful little girl and so sad but God willing she will be ok with the right treatment. My Chloe would love her. (Chloe is a 11 year old yellow labrador)

Sorry to hear she is so poorly :-( Fingers and paws crossed the vet is able to treat her appropriately.

My friends got a King Charles Spaniel pup just before Christmas from a breeder down south, unfortunately she too developed epilepsy and sadly didn't make it, wonder if it is the same breeder you got Millie from :-(

Oh Celia, I am devastated for you and Millie. I really hope your vet manages to sort out a therapy regime which can control these fits.

I feel for you both. :(

Just a thought - if Millie is insured, it may be worth considering asking your vet to possibly refer her to Bristol Veterinary School for top notch diagnostic work up and therapy. What I would say though is be VERY CAREFUL where insurance is concerned. If this was found to be a congenital/hereditary problem then a lot of insurance companies will NOT pay out for these conditions. A very sticky issue.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. She had a blood test today to see if it could be anything else. If not then there are drugs she can take. Unfortunately the insurance I took out the day we got her will not cover anything found during the first two weeks! I shall look into this more closely when we have more definate news. I am unable to contact the breeder at the moment but I shall keep trying. On the brighter side she woke up far more like her old self this morning, nipped toes all round in fact.
